What Are You Doing This Summer??

There hasn't been a lot of activity on the forums lately. So, I thought I would throw this up just to give people a reason to continue checking them.

This summer I am going to be living in an apartment in Des Moines, Iowa again. My weekdays will be spent working an IT internship for Principal Financial Group on their web infrastructure team. However, anytime after 5pm CST on weekdays will be fair game for playing videogames. I suspect I will be busy about every other weekend with visits to/from the girlfriend. That being said, depending on the game being played, she might join in the fun for a little while.

What are your summer plans??

I'm going to try and get a job. Then I'll be better equipped for future games and DLC. I'll probably still get on a bit and I might even get on CoD. Though I did want to try out MGO again. You can play as Raiden and that seems fun. I was wondering what other games are coming out in the future besides MW2 that the clan will get. I know about MAG, Bad Company 2 and one that I would get if it came out would be Battlefront III.

Damn... I was about to go home for about 2 mos.  But those plans got scrubbed when I found I class I needed to take to open up some other classes for the fall was only being offered in Summer C (that's the entire summer session for those who don't run on the same system or aren't in college yet)... Bitches.  So, I'll be staying here for most of the summer just trying to graduate.  Hopefully, next Fall is my last semester.  And maybe I'll be able to go down to the Dominican a few times here and there throughout the summer.  For shorter periods, obviously.  So, I will definitely have a lot of play time for games.  I've been slacking off a lot lately, yes, I know.  But school is a bitch.  I've been playing a lot of Rockband 2 lately.  Just getting my drumming up to expert level.  Anyways... Hope to see you guys in games soon.

Well, I'm gonna be living back on my home Island in about 6 days, where I'm gonna be working 40 hour weeks at the local grocer I think. I'll be saving money for university, more games, and I plan to fly to Greece to surprise my girlfriend for her birthday I'll be free to play with you guys pretty much every week night, and on most weekends I will be coming back to Vancouver here to visit the gf.

For games I think MW2 is a unanimous buy amongst the clan, but MAG...  I dunno, most games like that have either suffered from their own scale. The only game that comes to mind that makes those sizes work (without making whatever your playing as feel like a tiny plastic toy *COUGH WARHAWK COUGH*) is the battlefield series. On that note Bad Company 2 may be a good buy, I kinda regret not getting the first as I really liked the online. And Battlefront III... do you mean Star Wars Battlefront?

Yeah, I meant Star Wars Battlefront. I'm a big Star Wars fan and I love those games. I saw a leaked gameplay trailer on the net and it looked amazing. Unfortuently Free Radical went under and it was probably scrapped (At least the gameplay that it was going to have was) and it was picked up by another company.

I'm doing a double major in Finance and International Business.  What about you?  And everyone else in here.

As for games this year, I'm looking forward to MW2, GT5 and GoW III, to name a few.

I'm doing a major in Interactive Arts and Technology, which is a pretty shiesty program. I'm pretty sure I'm gonna switch into mechatronics engineering next year. Gonna build me some robo cats which will be more pwn resistant so I don't have to keep getting new ones

Yeah I liked SWB1 but 2 was kinda samey, and the space combat was too broken / limited in scale. But a next-gen SWB would be pretty sweet

I liked BFII, but the space combat wasn't much fun for me. I usually tried to skip that part. The leaked trailer showed the ability to go from land to space battles and a bunch of other sick stuff. But like I said, it was scrapped. Hopefully they still give us a good game if and when they make it.

I will slap them and tell them to get on. They have most definitely been around. I talk to them fairly regularly and occasionally get to play a few games with them.

Yeah, I only paid $40 because I heard there is going to be a $20 add-on when the full game comes out.
