Just to make all of you jealous, my college is offering a semester course on Flash Animation semester. Too bad there's not a chance in the world I'll be able to take it.

THAT'S AWESOME!! I always was interested in Flash animation. But I could never really understand the basics. If you do take it, teach me the way of perfection.

Seriously, the tutorials built into the help section are pretty decent about the basics of flash. And there's a couple websites I've bookmarked along the way.

My advice from learning lots of different forms of technology on my own is to start simple. Don't try to go all out right away. Do something very easy and then build off of it or move onto the more complicated projects you've got in mind.

You think Standard flash is hard, I just upgraded to the Adobe Suite CS3 and have to relearn everything if I want to use the updated flash as it uses Actionscript 3.0 which is a complete 180 from 2.0
