Okay, for those of you who know I'm back, I guess you know what the problem is. I have some serious problem with my internet. Well, I don't know if I do but there is something really retarded about my PS3 getting disconnected every minute while I'm in a freaken game. Seriously, I don't know how to fix this problem. My internet seems to be working fine on the PC, but when it comes down to playing matches, I get disconnected. And no, no one is downloading anything when I'm playing. So, until I get this LAGGING problem fixed, I won't be able to play with you guys. I can, it's just that when I do, I get disconnected. So I'll find a way to get this fixed. !!!!!!!!

Well, I don't think I have. I mean, I do have siblings who have computers too. Does having more than one internet connection plugged in make the internet slow? Well, does it affect even if the computer isn't even on?

The time and date on the PS3 should not affect the speed of your connection. The only way your siblings' computers would affect your connection speed is if they too are using the internet at the same time you are. However, they would likely have to be using it fairly heavily to kill your connection. (This is what happens to eviltim when he starts lagging horribly.)

Well, my siblings do play this game called PartyPoker.net. Does this affect my internet?! I guess it does seeing as though I see them playing it and everytime I play online, I lag like crazy. I guess I'll have to try and play when there not playing it.

What's the cause of your occassional lag Marsh? Is it magic? I would tell you, but I don't even know whose network I am on atm. If you haven't heard that story yet from me, you should ask about it the next time we talk. It's pretty entertaining.

do u have the windows server enabled try disabling it if its not then it might work This is my other quick suggestion. To do this go to Settings > Network Settings > Media Server Connection > Disabled. I hear a lot of people were having problems with this on v.1.80. Though I also thought it was supposed to be fixed on v.1.81. It's something to try. If none of these seem to make significant improvements, we can start getting down to the nitty gritty. One way of testing whether your siblings on PartyPoker.net is having any effect is to test your connection speed. There are a couple well-known sites for doing this. http://speedtest.vonage.com/ or http://www.speakeasy.net/speedtest Run those tests when you would normally be playing (preferably when your siblings are actually on PartyPoker.net. Then report the results of the test back here and we'll let you know what to make of them. I believe you can run these tests on either your computer or your PS3. It looks like at least the vonage speedtest may require a JRE (Java Runtime Environment). If this is the case, you likely won't be able to run the test on your PS3 unless you installed Linux and can install a JRE on it. Whether you run on your PS3 or computer, the results should be relatively similar. It might not be a bad idea to run them one right after the other on your computer and PS3 if that is an option just so the stats can be compared.
