I have never gotten into a beta or got selected for anything that was random before in my life. So I was really happy I got picked for the Warhawk Beta. I should have known, it was only so the warhawk beta could break my ps3 and make me completely bored for a couple weeks. Unless tech support has some miracle cure tomorrow when I call, I will not be playing a ps3 for quite some time, and probably missing out on the rest of the beta.
Right now there are some freezing problems with the warhawk beta. Some people get it alot, some do not get it that often but everyone has had it happen. I seemed to get it about every 15-30 minutes of play time. When it happened, the only way is to press and hold the reset button and boot it up agian. How could i have been so stupid to keep doing this throughout the day. The damn beta made me keep coming back for me.... So now, my ps3 boots up weird....
When I start up my ps3 (I even hold it down so the video output settings get reset), no picture is displayed on the tv screen, but there is a beep (just like the error beep you get for any error on the ps3) that i hear through the tv speakers, and then nothing. The lights on the ps3 are normal and even my controller gets connected. I have done this different times giving ample time to let it rest, as well as trying different cables to no avail. I am thinking my harddrive failed.

Damn that really sucks. Sorry to hear about that. Lol the developers of warhawk are gonna have to shell out big $$$ to sony cause of this... how could they have let that slip alpha? Try Sony's tech support. Don't bother trying to get them to fix it (you just get "have you tried turning on your t.v. Mr.Sir?") just ask them where you can send it to get fixed. As for your saves and stuff... I dunno...  I guess they do love us here in Canada. Must be bc we're so good looking. Second thought came to mind what if it's the firmware update!!:eek:!! |

nah, it has to be from all the rebooting due to the damn beta. Damn you cursed beta and your shiny new addicting trap, that I so ignorantly fell into.
All I got to say is that sony better get me a ps3 double time for this bull shit.

that sucks man, it might just be that you hard set the console and see if that works turn off from back hold down front turn back on the back and then hold until it beebs. if that does not work then it probably is your hardrive. |

Yeah, I have tried resetting it by holding down until the beeps, but no luck. Well, I already called sony tech, and they are sending me the box. So I will have a ps3 again in about 2 weeks....

it might not be the beta because I ps3 has been acting funny ever since the 1.8 update. You know what I am talking about Italian. Just not bad enough that my hardrive died on me.

Wow, that's really a drag Italian. Sorry amigo. I guess Bnick is right, Sony does like Canadians. XDXDXDXD, but I'm glad to hear you're getting another PS3 back and I wish the best of luck for you in KICKING THE DEVELOPERS ASS!!!! MUHAHAHAHAHAHA.

On a similar note I just had F@H freeze on me pretty bad. I tried to do a normal power down, but it wouldn't shut down! After a minute of turmoil I reached around back and flipped the switch. The PS3 made this horrible screeching noise (i'm sorry my baby ) I powered back on and it looks like there's nothing wrong. But it freaked the crap out of me. |

Sorry to hear about your ps3 problems Italian. I hope Sony gets you a new ps3 soon. I hope that the 1.8 update doesn't screw up my ps3. I really hate these updates.
